Facebook and Skype
It has been in the rumor mill for quite some time that Facebook was revamping their chat feature with live video feed. Well folks, as of Wednesday July 7, 2011 the rumors are now true. Facebook has joined forces with the already well-known Internet phone service, Skype, to bring this fantastic idea to fruition. With a couple of clicks and a few downloads, users can now video chat with a Facebook friend without having to leave the social network.
Not to go unnoticed is the multi-person chat feature that was also added. It allows users to easily add on additional friends to one chat box. Brilliant!
This launch is the first of many, according to Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg. Wednesday is the start of “launching season 2011”. Needless to say, we are very excited.
